Scary...
Onward to Iran? From TPM. Would they really try to pull this? I think a part of me still doesn't get it if I have to ask this question. I sure hope we can stop this one befoer it happens. At the risk of partisanship, a Democratic majority in the Senate and the House would be a good start. If this goes through soon though, I'm afraid fear could easily win yet another election cycle.

I'd like to think that just the fact that Iran is relatively powerful and influential in the region would keep the US from attacking without being attacked (aside from not needing another war), but I have no confidence in that. I am currently not too up or down on G.W.; I think he's a mediocre president. I can't figure out what to think about Iraq, but another preemptive war would be stupid. I sure hope Marshall is mistaken in his interpretation of these events.
